Dr. Zohara Boyd and Dr. Peter Petschauer both grew up in Europe during WWII, but their experiences were vastly different. Their collaboration and camaraderie have now become a model for others to follow. During the Nazi occupation of Poland, Zohara grew up.
Her Jewish parents were able to go on the Aryan side outside the ghetto and survive the Holocaust by getting the baptismal certificates and other credentials of a Polish Catholic family. They were eventually able to conceal in plain sight. On the other side of the street, the Petschauers lived.
