Mike Stroud is an adventurer and a doctor. From 1979 to 1975, he worked in several NHS training positions. He worked as an NHS Registrar in Medicine from 1987 to 1989. From 1989 through 1995, he studied human performance and endurance.
Later in his career, he was Chief Scientist in Physiology at the Defence Study Agency's Centre for Human Sciences, where his research focused on nutrition. He then went on to work at Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust as a Senior Registrar in Gastroenterology.
