Faber worked at White Weld & Company Limited in New York, Zurich, and Hong Kong between 1970 and 1978. He has resided in Hong Kong since 1973. He was the Managing Director of Drexel Burnham Lambert (HK) Ltd from 1978 until February 1990. He founded MARC FABER LIMITED, which serves as an investment advisor and fund manager, in June 1990.
