Cori Bargmann, a neurobiologist and geneticist, is the Torsten N. Wiesel Professor at The Rockefeller University and the director of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative's Science programme. Her work on the connections between genes, motivational states, and behaviour has earned her participation in the National Academy of Sciences as well as the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences.
Prior to joining CZI, Bargmann was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator and co-chair of the NIH working group that designed the BRAIN Initiative with Bill Newsome.
