Ambassador Akbar Ahmed now holds the Ibn Khaldun Chair of Islamic Studies at American University in Washington, D.C. & Brookings Institution Nonresident Senior Fellow He is a Visiting Professor and the First Distinguished Chair of Middle East & Islamic Studies at the University of Pennsylvania.
