Dickey began his career as a third-grade teacher in Baltimore City Schools before moving on to the Baltimore County Public School System as a high school English literature/SAT prep teacher and assistant principal.

Donyall worked as a principal in the Baltimore City Public School System for four years before taking a six-year position as a principal in the Howard County Public School System.

His tenure as an instructional leader was marked by unprecedented levels of student performance and school progress, as he guided Howard County's lowest-performing middle school to the most substantial increases on the Maryland School Assessment, outperforming almost 3,000 schools. Dr.

Dickey reproduced similar results on a bigger scale as a Regional Superintendent of Schools in Philadelphia, where he supervised a varied network of 33 schools, using strategic planning, his expertise of curriculum and instruction, and attention to the professional development delivery model.

Dickey led the cohort of elementary, K-8, and neighborhood high schools to the greatest substantial increases in English/reading and mathematics on the Pennsylvania State Assessments in the city of Philadelphia while serving as Regional Superintendent of Schools. Dr.

Dickey was previously the Chief Academic Officer for the Philadelphia School District, where he oversaw academic programming for 220 schools and 160,000 students.

Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment; Special Education; Multilingual Curriculum & Programs; School Improvement & Data Support; Career & Technology Education; Early Childhood Education; School Scheduling and Organization; College Readiness; and Academic Enrichment were among the nine major district-wide departments he oversaw. Later, as Chief Schools Officer and Chief Academic Officer of the Atlanta Public Schools, Dr.

Dickey served students and families in Atlanta, where he oversaw a team of seven Associate and Assistant Superintendents, as well as the offices of Teaching & Learning, Curriculum & Instruction, Early Childhood Education, Student Services, Organizational & Professional Learning, Federal Grants, and Student Discipline. Dr.

Dickey has built a successful publishing and professional development business, Educational Epiphany while enhancing student and organizational results as a prek-12 leader. Dr.

Dickey has authored and published 33 books as the Chief Executive Officer and lead consultant for Educational Epiphany, including 22 teacher resource books on the internationally benchmarked Common Core State Standards for English/Reading, Social Studies, Science, the Technical Subjects, and Mathematics and 11 teacher resource books on the Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills. Dr.

Dickey's school reform and organizational effectiveness concepts are being applied to improve children's lived schooling experiences across the country. Dr.

Dickey and his national consulting team are currently partnering with urban, suburban, and rural school districts as a provider of standards-based instructional materials for the core content areas and turnaround professional development for teachers, school leaders, central office personnel, and state departments of education as the Chief Executive Officer and Lead Consultant for Educational Epiphany.
