Actress and broadcast journalist Donna Hanover received a degree of prominence in 1994 as the wife of New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. During her tenure as First Lady she sponsored a number of health and educational causes around the city and was active in the citys civic life.

Married in 1984 Hanovers marriage to Giuliani started to end after reports of her husbands affairs. The couple finally divorced in 2002 shortly after Giuliani left office.
