Dominique Pearl David, a 21-year-old advanced studies graduate of the Los Angeles Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), received Cum Laude honors. The native of Southern California now calls New York home. Her designs are influenced by fairytales and the Japanese geisha tradition, and she characterizes her own style as elegant.
Designers like Rei Kawakubo and Paul Poiret have a big effect on her. Her stitching skills have led her to work with Disney, Guess Inc., Ramona West's online vintage store, Kanye West, and Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. label. She is particularly well-known in the Ojai Valley for her bespoke prom dress collaborations.
