Diane Hendricks is the widow of entrepreneur Ken Hendricks, who built his shingle business, ABC Supply, into a $2.2 billion fortune. Ken died tragically after falling from the family's roof in 2007, leaving ABC Supply to his wife Diane. She now owns the nation's largest wholesale distributor of roofing, windows, and siding. Following the acquisition of rival Bradco Supply Co.
last year, revenues in 2010 increased to $4.1 billion, up from $2.7 billion the previous year. Diane met her husband when she was 21 years old, and they co-founded ABC Supply in 1982. Hendricks, who just recently graduated from high school, now manages a billion-dollar company and a 24 million-square-foot commercial complex.
