Diana Natalicio became president of University of Texas El Paso in 1988. During her tenure UTEP’s enrollment has grown from 15000 to 23000 students its annual budget from $65 million to nearly $450 million annual research expenditures from $6 million to over $84 million and doctoral programs from one to 20. She serves on the board of ACT.
Natalicio was a trustee of the Rockefeller Foundation and served on the boards of the American Council on Education Trinity Industries and the U.S.-Mexico Foundation for Science.
