Devin Robinson is the founder of Going Against the Grain Group and an economics professor at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia (parent company of Going Against the Grain Publications and Going Against the Grain Development Institute). He is a native of the US Virgin Islands' St. Thomas and the great-great-grandson of a fugitive slave.
He was permitted to enter the United States Army at the age of 17 after graduating, despite a history of criminal offenses and a near-fatal police brutality event. As a veteran Non-Commissioned Officer Airborne Paratrooper, he has committed his life to ensure that our children do not make the same near-fatal mistakes he did.
