Dennis began his career at the National Economic Development Office in Whitehall. With staff Dr.awn from management the civil service and trade unions the remit was to assess the constraints impeding performance. Throughout his career Dennis has had regular contact with policy-making bodies. In a personal capacity he was one of a small number of private sector economists who advised the pre-Blair Labour Party. He retains high level Government contacts.
As well as being a Director of Fulham football club Dennis has written various publications including the definitive history of Fulham Football Club the case for an Industrial Investment Bank and critiques of Van Morrison Joe Cocker and Ray Charles.
