Delroy Lindo is a British-born American actor whose recent work in Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” (2025) earned him an Academy Award nomination. Having moved to Toronto as a teenager,  he trained at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Starting on stage in 1975 with “Of Mice and Men”, he earned a Tony Award nomination for August Wilson's “Joe Turner's Come and Gone” (1988). Lindo gained wider fame through Spike Lee films, including “Malcolm X” (1992), “Crooklyn” (1994), and “Clockers” (1995). His powerful performances have earned critical acclaim, most recently in “Sinners” (2025). Known for his commanding presence and versatility across theater, film, and TV, Lindo is planning his directorial debut in 2026.
