DeAndre Yedlin, an American soccer player who now plays for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, was born on July 9, 1993. Yedlin has played as a right-back, wingback, and wide midfielder throughout his career. At the 2014 FIFA World Cup, he represented the United States.
He came in as a late second-half replacement against Portugal to make his World Cup debut. He assisted on Clint Dempsey's late goal, which gave the United States a 2–1 lead. He also came in late in the following game, a 1–0 defeat to Germany, when his long cross to Dempsey was headed wide.
