Brackensick is a member of the Truth Records label, and his debut song, Her Crazy, was released on June 4, 2013. He has been on talk shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, LIVE! with Kelly, The Today Show, and Anderson Cooper after his removal. For the season eleven finale of American Idol, Brackensick returned to the stage.
In the summer of 2012, he was also a part of the American Idol season eleven top 10 finalists concert tour. Brackensick just signed with Truth Records and tweeted that his new single and music video would be out in late May or early June 2013.
