Dawn Leaf is the NIST Senior Executive for Cloud Computing and a Senior Advisor at the National Institute of Standards and Technology Information Technology Laboratory. Under her leadership, NIST has collaborated with over 30 US Government departments, academia, industry consortia, and standards organizations to accomplish internationally recognized milestones in the field of cloud computing. Ms.
Leaf was named one of the CloudNOW organization's "Top Women in Cloud" in February 2012. Ms. Leaf was appointed to NIST in March 2010 after serving as the United States Department of Commerce's Deputy Chief Information Officer/Chief Technology Officer, the Bureau of Industry and Security's Chief Information Officer, and the Smithsonian Institution's Chief Technology Officer.
