David Sproxton is a British animator director and producer who cofounded Aardman Animations in 1972. The studio produces stop-motion animated films usually with claymation puppets and is behind such critically acclaimed films as Chicken Run Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit Flushed Away and Shaun the Sheep Movie along with numerous TV projects and commercials.
Sproxton has overseen Aardman’s expansion in VR and gaming—in 2018 it released its first console game 11:11 Memories Retold set in World War I—and along with cofounder Peter Lord has transformed the company into an employee-led organization.
