Few people have experienced the terrible blows that have befallen David Ring since his infancy. He was destined to fail. David was born with cerebral palsy on October 28, 1953, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was orphaned at the age of 14, and he was bounced about from family to family, with no place to call home.
He had to deal with continual bodily discomfort, embarrassing public mockery, and despondency. Despite these apparently overwhelming challenges, David emerged not victimized...but victorious! Life seemed bleak to him until he met Jesus Christ, who taught him self-respect and acceptance of his physical difficulties. Physical obstacles of this scale would be considered a tombstone by most people.
