David was born with cerebral palsy on October 28, 1953, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was orphaned at the age of 14, and he was bounced about from family to family, with no place to call home.

He had to deal with continual bodily discomfort, embarrassing public mockery, and despondency. Despite these apparently overwhelming challenges, David emerged not victimized...but victorious! Life seemed bleak to him until he met Jesus Christ, who taught him self-respect and acceptance of his physical difficulties. Physical obstacles of this scale would be considered a tombstone by most people.

David's coming of age was and continues to be a watershed moment in his life. David Ring is unlike any other speaker you've ever heard. Although he can be difficult to comprehend at first, you will quickly be captivated by his quick wit and kind demeanor.

Every year, David tells his story to over 100,000 people at churches, conventions, schools, and business gatherings.
