Since its inception in February 1992, David Overton has served as our Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Evelyn and Oscar Overton, his parents, co-founded the company. Mr. Overton founded the company and established the first Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, in 1978.
He founded Grand Lux Cafe® and RockSugar Pan Asian Kitchen®, as well as growing The Cheesecake Factory® into a worldwide business. The Company's revenues increased to $1.87 billion during Mr. Overton's leadership, with The Cheesecake Factory topping the casual dining market in average annual sales per location of $10.4 million in fiscal 2013.
