David McLean is an MIT Sloan School of Management Visiting Associate Professor of Finance. Corporate finance, law and finance, and limited arbitrage are among McLean's research interests. His research focuses on how asset prices and corporate investment are affected by capital market inefficiencies.
Recent research studies have looked into how investor protection laws might help to alleviate financial restrictions and increase investment efficiency. His works have received several honors, including first place in the Chicago Quantitative Alliance's Annual Academic Competition and the Jensen Prize for the finest corporate finance paper published in the Journal of Financial Economics.
