David Granirer, RPC, MPCC, M.S.M., is a counselor, stand-up comedian, and keynote speaker on mental health. David, who suffers from depression, has taught stand-up comedy to recovering addicts and cancer patients, and in 2004, he created Stand Up For Mental Health, an award-winning program that teaches humor to those suffering from mental illnesses.
His work has been featured in international media as well as the VOICE Award-winning Passionate Eye documentary Cracking Up and the award-winning Australian documentary Crack Up. He has taught Stand Up For Mental Health groups in over 50 cities throughout Canada, the United States, and Australia in collaboration with various mental health organizations.
