David F. Swensen is a philanthropist, endowment fund manager, and investor from the United States. Since 1985, he has served as Yale University's chief investment officer. Swensen is in charge of managing and investing Yale's endowment assets and investment funds, which as of September 2016 totaled $25.4 billion.
