From 1968 until 2002, Dave Marcis raced in the NASCAR Winston Cup series. Marcis won five races during this period, including twice at Richmond, including his final victory in 1982. Dave was most known for two things: competing for his own team and wearing wingtip shoes to keep the heat out of the vehicle when racing.
