Dave Jones is an American politician who was born on January 4, 1962. From December 2004 until November 2011, he was a member of California's 9th Assembly District. He is now the Insurance Commissioner of California.
Jones launched his candidacy for California State Insurance Commissioner in 2010, a statewide elected position, on November 13, 2008, when Republican incumbent Steve Poizner was set to run for Governor. Jones stated that the commissioner of insurance should be a strong champion for customers. With my education and skills, I believe I would be an excellent advocate.
