Daryl Homer is a fencer who won the silver medal at the 2016 Olympic Games making him the first U.S. Sabre fencer to medal individually in 112 years. He also made history in 2015 by becoming the first male Sabre fencer to win a Senior World Championship medal.
At the 2012 Olympics Homer finished sixth.Homer first became interested in fencing when he was five years old and went on to attend St. John's University. In college he won back-to-back NCAA National Championships.
