Dartanyon Crockett was a fierce and aggressive wrestler who relied on speed, strength, and a forceful attack to swiftly pin his opponents. Aggression takes a second seat to technical refinement on the judo mat, where Crockett now competes. "You'll definitely get your own body weight used against you if you're aggressive and attack all the time," Crockett adds.
Crockett made his shift from wrestling to judo in 2010, when he was recruited by the U.S.A. Judo trainers. He seized the opportunity and ran with it, winning national titles in the 81kg and 90kg weight classes.
