Danny Harf was born in Visalia, California, but relocated to Orlando, Florida, as a child, where he learned to water ski on Lake Willis. At the age of ten, he discovered his passion for wakeboarding. At the age of 16, he became a wakeboard pro six years later, in the year 2000.
He is currently considered one of the pioneers of wakeboarding and has contributed to the sport's advancement. A film called Defy, a wakeboarding movie that displays one of the first-ever double backflips ever done on a wakeboard, was one of his key triumphs in displaying the growth of the sport.
