Dan Mendelson is President of Avalere Health. He leads the firm’s operations, and engages in strategic advisory work for major clients in life sciences, managed care, and the provider segments. Prior to founding Avalere in 2000, Dan served as Associate Director for Health at the White House Office of Management and Budget.
Dan presently serves on the board of directors of two public companies: HMS Holdings and Champions Oncology. He is also on faculty at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He previously served on the boards of Coventry Healthcare (2005-2013) and Pharmerica (2007-2011), and was on the faculty of the Fuqua School of Business (2000-2014).
