Prior to establishing Carlyle in 1987, Mr. D'Aniello was Vice President for Finance and Development at Marriott Corporation (“Marriott”), where he was in charge of the valuation of all significant mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, debt and equity issues, and project financings. Mr. D'Aniello worked as a finance officer for PepsiCo, Inc. and Trans World Airlines before joining Marriott.
He received his magna cum laude degree from Syracuse University in 1968, when he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, and his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1974, where he was a Teagle Foundation Fellow. Mr.
