Dani Menkin was born in Tel Aviv in 1970 and is a writer, director, and producer. He produced 39 Pounds of Love, which won the Israeli Academy Award and was nominated for an Oscar for the HBO/Cinemax documentary (the USA, 2006). Dani worked on The Wisdom of the Pretzel as a supervising director and co-producer alongside Ilan Heitner (2002).
His achievements in Israeli television, which included directing the documentary Like Arosesti (1998), as well as programs for The National Geographic Channel and UVDA (1994-2004), earned him accolades and boosted his reputation. Dani is now working on the feature film Je Tiame, I Love You Terminal, and the documentary film The Dolphin.
