Dan is a former investment banker in the energy and infrastructure sector. He was previously global head of energy and infrastructure for CIT, a team of 40 professionals in New York, Toronto and London, built from a start-up office opening in NYC for the Toronto-based Newcourt Capital. Dan structured and executed complex project financings, tax oriented leveraged leases, private placements, securitizations and partnership financings. These transactions involved various technologies, including nuclear, coal, and gas fired conventional power generation, and geothermal, waste-to-energy, hydropower, wind, solar and biomass renewable power projects. Transactions also involved conventional energy technologies, such as refineries, gas storage, gas gathering and transmission pipelines, and power transmission facilities, as well as alternative energy technologies, such as ethanol, anaerobic digestion, landfill gas, gasification and pyrolysis. Dan also has energy investment banking experience with large Wall Street firms, like JP Morgan Chase and Bankers Trust, as well as investment banking boutiques, such as Marathon Capital and Connell Securities. Dan received his MBA from the Tuck school at Dartmouth College, and his BA from Yale University.
