Dan's Quests began in the mid-1990s, when he combined his love of travel and education with the nascent World Wide Web.
Dan sought a platform to use the Web to take youngsters on adventures of discovery after creating Earthtreks, Inc. in 1995. MayaQuest, the company's inaugural initiative, allowed an online audience to lead a team of professionals to assist in resolving the ancient Maya collapse. The Quest-themed education initiative was used in 30,000 schools. Dan sold Earthtreks, Inc.
