Dahlia Narvaez, a native Angeleno, got her first taste of pastry when she was a baby, helping her mother punch out sugar cookies. She began her professional career in the kitchen of The Conga Room, Los Angeles' top Cuban nightspot, where she prepared Latin specialties such as Dulce de Leche for the tangoing throng.
Narvaez joined Nancy Silvertons' powerful Campanile team in May of 1999. She was promoted to pastry sous chef after a month as a pastry line cook. She was promoted to executive pastry chef three years later, in charge of one of the country's most renowned dessert departments.
