About Daeg Faerch

Daeg Faerch Biography

When controversial filmmaker Rob Zombie cast Daeg Faerch as the homicidal Michael Myers in Zombie's gruesome 2007 remake of John Carpenter's horror classic, Halloween, the youngster's first major Hollywood debut was on a very bleak note. Faerch has also been in theatrical performances of The Grapes of Wrath in which he played Winfield, Marat/Sade in which he played young Herald, Waiting for Godot in which he played the messenger and Shakespeare Unabridged in which he performed as a musical guest rapper. He's been in Shakespeare plays such as Coriolanus, in which he played young Coriolanus, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Hamlet. In addition, he got the role of Pincegurre in the French play L'Impromptu de Théophile, as well as a role in the comedy The Nerd as Thor Waldgrave. Faerch played Michel, a French American neighborhood child, in Peter Berg's 2008 Will Smith picture Hancock, in which he shouts at Smith and is tossed into the sky by the titular superhero for insulting him, but comes down to earth unhurt with Hancock catching him. Faerch's other efforts include the thriller Sebastian, which he stars in, the Christmas comedy Wreck the Halls, which stars Mickey Rooney as Santa Claus, and the short film Suffer the Little Children, which he co-stars with his mother and is based on a Stephen King tale. Faerch also appeared as a German schoolboy in episodes of the TV program Pushing Daisies in 2008. He also recently co-starred in the award-winning short film Mental as a homosexual young guy named Jesse. Sebastian, Faerch's 2010/2011 feature, had its one and only screening at the Independent Film Quarterly (IFQ) Film and Webisode Festival on April 14, 2012, where it also won Best Sci-Fi Feature.
