Crispin, a former Dux, was nominated for and won an Academy Award for Best Editor in 2013 for his work on David O Russell's Silver Linings Playbook with Jay Cassidy. They were also nominated for an American Cinema Editors (ACE) award. Crispin has been working in the film industry in Hollywood for a number of years.
After graduating from Edinburgh University with a degree in Physics, he went to Oregon for a brief course in film editing, followed by an internship in San Francisco. He subsequently relocated to Los Angeles, where he worked on television series and indie films. His major break came from his work on another Academy Award-winning David O Russell picture, The Fighter.
