Cormac McCarthy is a dramatist and writer from the United States. He's authored eight books, as well as plays and screenplays, in the Southern Gothic, western, and post-apocalyptic genres.
He earned the Pulitzer Prize for The Road in 2007, and his 2005 novel No Country for Old Men was made into a film of the same name in 2007, which won four Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
