Corey Owens has spent his career on the cutting edge of disruptive innovation, from media (Facebook) to transportation (Uber) to real estate (Real Estate) (WeWork). Corey has spent his career at the crossroads of those who want to build and those who want to govern, and he has managed some of the most difficult and high-profile transformation initiatives in recent business history. He now serves as the Head of Global Public Policy at WeWork, the world's biggest coworking platform with over a hundred communities in a dozen countries. Corey was formerly the Head of Global Public Policy at Uber Technologies, where he managed Uber's relationship with legislators and regulators across the world as one of the company's first employees. Corey worked as an early member of Facebook's public affairs team before joining Uber, where he helped establish shifting standards of online privacy. Corey began his career with the American Civil Liberties Union's field team, where he organized gun owners, movie stars, and local government officials in support of civil rights. At The Constitution Project, he established coalitions of law-and-order conservatives to advocate criminal justice reform, and at the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, he mobilized workers across the country. Corey has served on the field teams of state and national political campaigns in Ohio, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, and Virginia. Corey has been named a Leader of Tomorrow by the St Gallen Symposium, named one of Forbes' 30 Under 30 in Law and Policy, and received the Santa Clara High Technology Law Journal's Award for Excellence in Public Policy. He is a HomeZen and Hippocamp Media adviser, as well as a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council. He holds a bachelor's degree from Truman State University and a master's degree from The George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management.
