Professor Colum Kenny B.C.L. Barrister-at-Law Ph.D School of Communications. Areas of special interest include broadcasting journalism media policy culture and society. His latest book (An Irish-American Odyssey) is a study of immigrants and their children in the USA (University of Missouri 2014) with particular reference to a family active in the arts law and media.
Other titles include The Power of Silence: Silent Communication in Daily Life (Karnac 2011) and Moments that Changed Us: Ireland after 1973 (Gill & Macmillan 2005). A member of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland 2010-2015 and of the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland/IRTC 1998-2003. A former employee of RTE he was a founding board member of the E.U.
