Colin Egglesfield Biography

Colin was born outside of Detroit MI and moved to Chicago when he was 10 years old. At the age of eleven his family moved to a small town south of Chicago where he got introduced to acting at ‘The Illinois Theatre Center’ close to where he grew up in Crete. After doing a couple of professional plays high school sports took over and his focus became going to college and studying to attend medical school. After playing a year of college football at Illinois Wesleyan University he transferred to The University of Iowa where he graduated with a degree in Biology/Pre-Med.
As a professional actor working in Hollywood and New York for 20+ years now Colin enjoys not only inspiring people on the stage and in front of the camera but also in person sharing his personal stories about having lived through 9/11 pursuing his dream of becoming a professional working actor kicking cancer’s butt (twice) and overcoming the challenges that stand in the way of our fully realized and empowered life.
