Clive Clive Standen is the stage name of James Standen, an English actor. He was born in Holywood, United Kingdom, on July 22, 1981. He attended Melton Mowbray's, King Edward VII School. Standen was a member of the National Youth Theatre and the National Youth Music Theatre when he was fifteen years old.
He began his acting career in 2004 when he was cast as Martin Raynor in the television series Waking the Dead. In the same year, he made his cinematic debut in the film Ten Days to D-Day, playing a Canadian commanding officer. In 2005, he played Charlie Halliday in three episodes of the television series Doctors.
