Christopher Sims, an econometrician and macroeconomist, was the recipient of the 2011 Nobel Prize in economics, shared with Thomas Sargent of New York University.
He is currently the Harold B. Helms Professor of Economics and Banking at Princeton University. Sims earned his A.B. in mathematics from Harvard University in 1963, graduating magna cum laude. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard in 1968.
