Christal Sheppard is the director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office Midwest Satellite Office located in Detroit Michigan.
She leads the USPTO operations policy and community outreach efforts throughout the Midwestern United States.Prior to joining the USPTO Sheppard was an assistant professor at the University of Nebraska where she co-founded a program of concentrated study in intellectual property law at the Law College.Sheppard has master’s and doctoral degrees in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Michigan and a juris doctor degree from Cornell University Law School.
