Christa Carone is the Boston 2024 Partnership's Co-Chair, Marketing Advisory Committee, and acting Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. The Boston 2024 Partnership is the organization in charge of developing Boston's bid, as well as the United States' only representative city, for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Fidelity Investments, a prominent provider of financial products and services to over 20 million consumers, institutions, and financial intermediaries, previously employed him as an executive vice president. Christa most recently used her decades of marketing and communications experience to help shape brands and go-to-market strategies for Fidelity's diverse companies. She worked as an in-house marketing strategist for emerging businesses, designing and advising on market segmentation, brand purpose and identity, stakeholder involvement, and integrated online/offline marketing communication strategies. Christa previously served as Fidelity's executive vice president of communications and corporate affairs, where she was in charge of developing enterprise-wide communication strategies as well as overseeing corporate affairs, media relations, internal communications, digital content, executive communications, and events management. Christa joined Fidelity in 2013 after 17 years at Xerox Corporation, where she most recently served as chief marketing officer. She was in charge of worldwide marketing strategy and activities, which covered all communication contact points with Xerox stakeholders via paid, earned, and owned media. Brand management, advertising, experiential marketing, public relations, internal communications, integrated campaigns, interactive and social marketing, citizenship, and the Xerox Foundation were among her duties. Christa was previously vice president of worldwide communications at Xerox, where she oversaw public relations, internal and corporate communications, and community relations programs. She began her career at Xerox in 1996 as a communications manager for the company's manufacturing and supply chain division, was promoted to corporate media relations manager in 1998, and was appointed head of corporate public relations in 2001. Christa earned a bachelor's degree in communications from State University of New York College at Geneseo. She is a member of M50, the Arthur Page Society, an advisory board member for Drexel University's Center for Reputation Management, and a board director of etouches, a software business. Christa is well-known for her marketing and communications perspectives for the Forbes CMO network, Fast Company, Harvard Business Review, and Ad Age. For the third year in a row, BtoB Magazine named her one of the top marketers of the year in 2013. Appinions named her one of the most influential marketing and communication experts in business in 2012 and 2013, and The Holmes Report named her one of the world's most influential communicators in 2011.
