Chris Wysopal Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Veracode oversees technology strategy and information security. Wysopal is recognized as an expert and a well known speaker in the information security field.
Prior to co-founding Veracode in 2006 Veracode Chris was vice president of research and development at security consultancy @stake which was acquired by Symantec.
He was named one of InfoWorld's Top 25 CTO's and one of the 100 most influential people in IT by the editorial staffs of eWeek CIO Insight and Baseline Magazine. Wysopal’s groundbreaking work in 2002 while at the company @stake was instrumental in developing industry guidelines for responsibly disclosing software security vulnerabilities.
In the 1990’s Chris was one of the original vulnerability researchers at The L0pht a hacker think tank where he was one of the first to publicize the risks of insecure software. He has testified to the US Congress on the subjects of government security and how vulnerabilities are discovered in software.
