Chris Thorpe is one of the best sliders in the world (Luge). He has competed in four Olympic Games (2002, 1998, 1994, and 1992). Thorpe has two Olympic medals: one bronze and one silver. In his remarkable 17-year career, he has won several World Cup and National Championship medals.
Chris holds the record for the most international medals earned by an American in the sport of sliding. He is the first American to win a World Cup title, as well as the first American to earn an Olympic medal in the sport of luge! (Silver-1998). Chris took up luge after his family relocated to Michigan.
