Reid's achievements have been diverse and noteworthy. Chris began his career as a member of the very popular rap combo Kid-N-Play before moving on to feature films as the star of the landmark urban masterpiece Houseparty. Two profitable sequels and a Warner Bros. film, Class Act, followed.
All four films have been hugely successful in theatres, on cable, and on DVD. Chris then shifted his focus to the television. In the NBC miniseries The Temptations, he portrayed Joltin' Joe. Chris recently hosted 24 episodes of Dick Clark's Your Big Break, a musical talent show on which his charm and quick wit fit in perfectly.
