Chris Pavone worked in publishing for nearly two decades, mostly as an editor of nonfiction, particularly cookbooks. Then Chris jettisoned his career to follow his wife’s job to Luxembourg, where he became a stay-at-home parent to twin preschoolers.
Chris used this experience to write "The Expats," an espionage thriller that was an instant New York Times and international bestseller, hailed as “smart, clever suspense” by John Grisham and “bristling with suspense and elegantly crafted” by Patricia Cornwell; "The Expats" won a 2013 Edgar (the Academy Award of mysteries and thrillers), and is being developed for film and published in nearly twenty languages.
