Chris Hare has crossed borders worldwide in his career. Educated in Europe and running businesses in Europe and Asia early in his career, he has lived in the U.S. for nearly 20 years and has built a 25-year resume in the global wireless and telecommunications industry. He has worked with Lucas, TRW, LG and Sony Ericsson, among others. During his time with Sony Ericsson, he created their Industry Collaboration team. Tasked with reporting to the COO and CTO, this initiative paired up internal divisions with external innovation partners. He oversaw a spend of over $8.5 billion for them as head of sourcing for their largest business unit.
A former partner in Moveable Code, Hare dealt extensively with media and connected device strategy. He sits on multiple boards in addition to mentoring and advising companies in the U.S., UK, Sweden, Israel, China, and Japan. Hare served as CEO of Data Transfer and Communications, a UK wireless security IP company. Hare now has the UK Trade and Investment division as a client, advising their Technology Partnership/High Value Opportunity Group, which creates alliances between U.S. and UK companies. He is also an entrepreneur, starting his own company and served as president of Digit Wireless, a start-up in Boston, MA.
