Cheryl Hunter

I am a two-time bestselling author and coach. I speak on stages worldwide as well as on international news sources such as CNN about resilience and the self-imposed captivity people face each day. I never set out to be an expert in resilience, but while traveling abroad as a teenager, I was abducted by two criminals who held me captive, beat and raped me, then left me for dead. Afterward, even though I was free, in my mind I felt more captive than ever, and I realized I had a choice: do I remain captive or not? I found the answer, and my life’s mission is to teach it to others using the educational framework I created.

My framework has been profiled by Forbes Magazine, The Huffington Post, Fast Company, is highlighted in my four TED talks, and is taught across the globe by my team and me. We deliver our work to individuals, in companies and organizations, and in schools. I’m privileged to have helped over a quarter million people learn to be successful, self-confident, and happy, no matter what comes their way.
