Chad Fredrick Wol?is an American lobbyist and retired government official who was appointed as the acting Secretary of Homeland Security in November 2019. In November 2020, his nomination was declared unconstitutional. From 2019 to 2021, Wolf served as the Undersecretary of Homeland Security for Planning, Legislation, and Plans.
Wolf, a Republican, formerly worked for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), both as the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) chief of staff and as the chief of staff to DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen. He worked as a lobbyist from 2005 to 2016, assisting clients in obtaining TSA contracts.
